Each wheel features a proprietary no-slip drive chain, a precision stepper motor, and a large-diameter pivot pin paired with precision-ground bushings—delivering smooth, quiet, and dependable operation. And because FLI filter wheels do not use internal lights for homing, your images remain fully protected from stray light interference. The CFW8 supports unmounted filters, 3mm to 5mm thick. One position on the internal wheel is unmachined, creating an obstructed path for acquisition of calibration images.
